Both Andrew  and Kate had to work very hard for their degree.

Andrew did a part time course at the Kent Institute of Art & Design working part time to finance the course. He was given a great deal of support by Sue whom he shared a home with. This took him three years on top of the four years getting his degree.

Kate also had a great deal of support that came from husband Mike before she gained an first class honours degree in geo science with the Open University. This took her six years and now she is considering working toward her Masters.
